History: a wine that has been part of the Caven Vini production line since the company was founded (mid-1980s), and is closely connected to the territory of origin. The name "Tellino" in fact indicates the inhabitant of Teglio, a characteristic village in the province of Sondrio which gave rise to the toponym "Valtellina". The latter appears for the first time as a term in a text by Ennodius, bishop of Pavia, from the early sixth century. All scholars of history and toponymy now agree in affirming that the name derives from the curial Latin "Vallis Tellina", which means "Valley of Teglio".
